Petrified Peanut Wood stone, which is not really from a peanut, but large prehistoric coniferous trees. These trees were a tasty meal for early time sea snails, which burrowed into the wood causing the wholes and dark lines. Eventually it turned into Jasper. This stone was found in the Petrified Forest National Park in Arizona. Set in sterling silver pendent setting with a leaf style chain bail, this piece is simply beautiful time piece, so to speak. Very cool necklace.Metal: *Sterling silver.
